As a Grade 8 violin teacher, I’m passionate about helping beginners take their first steps in music with confidence. I focus on building strong foundations, from proper posture and bow technique to developing a good ear and sense of rhythm, all while keeping lessons encouraging and engaging. I understand that starting something new can feel challenging, so I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and celebrating their progress. My goal is not just to teach violin, but to inspire a lasting love of music in every student I work with.

Exam Boards Taught

While I am open to teaching all exam boards (or none at all) I focus on the ABRSM exam board and follow their structures and levels.

Qualifications

Grade 8 violinist, soloist and first violinist for tees valley youth orchestra, private violin tutor for 2 child beginners, toured in Spain with tees valley youth orchestra.

Abilities Taught

As a beginner violin teacher, I help students build strong foundations through correct posture, bow control, and accurate finger placement. I teach basic music reading, simple scales, and easy pieces, while developing listening skills, coordination, and good practice habits in a supportive and engaging way.
