2 hour party consisting of:
Recording Studio
The recording studio part will take place at the beginning of the party and will last up to an hour. You can choose any 3 songs you want to record in the studio and we will provide the backing tracks for the kids to sing over. The song lyrics will be put up on the screen for the kids to read. The recording studio can handle up to 10 kids at one time, so for example if you were to invite 30 children then they would need to go into the studio in 3 groups of 10. Each group will get to sing all 3 songs. Once recorded, the songs are mixed and uploaded to our YouTube Channel for you to listen to. Each song will have the groups merged together so that it sounds like everyone sang together.
Disco
The disco will run throughout the 2 hour party, where the kids get to dance and play party games. It includes a DJ, Disco Lights and 150″ HD Projector Screen to show music and dance along videos! Here are some of the games we can play – musical statues, best dancer, musical bumps, 4 corners, red light green light, musical chairs and pass the parcel. 4 large tables & 40 chairs are also provided should you wish to put out your own food. We don't have any kitchen facilities available. Some of our previous parties have also opted to order food from nearby takeaways such as McDonald's and Dominoes.

My daughter celebrated her 7th birthday here today for the pop star party and she had the best time! Massive thank you to the staff involved! It was absolutely perfect for her and would not hesitate to recommend these parties to anyone. Thank you so much TSOM!

We had my daughter’s 8th birthday party here today. The venue wasn’t known to me but I came across it after searching online, and booked the popstar party. Everything was perfect today, the time spent in the recording studio was enjoyed by all, and something totally unique to any other party we’ve been to. Nick looked after the kids in the recording studio and very quickly mixed the recordings from the 2 groups, and shared them with me the same day - which is a great memory for the kids to keep. Amelia looked after the party in the main room with games, and dancing - and she was superb. We opted for dominos pizza as it’s 2 mins away - and there was plenty of space for us to set up tables and chairs. Thank you Teesside School of Music for a super party!

What time can I arrive to set up?
You can arrive 15 minutes before your booking start time, to set up.
Can I put up my own decorations?
Yes, however your decorations must not cause any damage to the walls etc. No glitter can be used.
Do I need to bring prizes for the winners of the games?
Yes, you will need to bring some little prizes or bags of sweets so that the DJ has something to give to the winners of the games.
How many tables and chairs are available?
We provide 4 large tables and 40 chairs. We recommend bringing table covers.
Photo
You will need to email us a photo of the person whose party it is so that we can add this to the digital screens during the party. Please send the photo to
[email protected] no later than 2 weeks before the party.
3 Songs
Please email the names of the 3 songs you want to record in the studio no later than 2 weeks prior to the party. You can choose any 3 songs you want and email them to
[email protected]
If there are any issues sourcing the backing music to a song, we will let you know, so that you can select an alternative song. Please note that we can't get any "clean" versions of the songs.
Are you able to get "clean" versions of songs with bad language?
Unfortunately not. If the original song has bad language in it, then this will be the same when hearing it in the recording studio and also when reading the lyrics from the screen. However, the only singing on the finished track will be the children. This means if they miss out the bad language, then it won't feature on their YouTube recording.
Is it ok for parents to stay?
Yes. However, we are limited on space, as the disco room is the same room you will use to put out the tables and chairs for food. This means if there are 30 children plus parents for each of those children sitting around the edges of the room, then it's going to feel quite cramped and mean less room for party games.
